UEHS Key Club Key Club receives donation
UEHS Key Club is a service organization dedicated to helping those in need. Both time and monetary donations are an important part of making their events and activities successful. To help with the monetary side of things, the club recently received a generous matching donating from a local agency.

Loom with yarn Unit teaches GFJ students about making yarn, cloth
Fourth-grade students at GFJ have been studying Colonial times as part of their social studies unit. Part of that curriculum includes how people had to make their own clothes. 
Japanese flag Students experience a taste of Japan
Reading books involving other cultures gives students a glimpse into that culture. Meeting someone from that culture gives students a deeper understanding. With that thought, students in Kelli Krieger’s graphic novels class celebrated the final book of the semester, “47 Ronin”, with a field trip to Kampai Japanese Steakhouse in Vestal.

At its regular meeting, the Board of Education began by recognizing staff and students at GFJ. Students were recognized for participating in chorus and student council as well as for improving attendance.

Before the break, UEHS PALS students in Adrea Folli's class traveled to CFJ to meet their pen-pals in Lisa Ricci's second-grade class. Students have been writing each other for about a month and finally got to meet, in person, their pen-pal.
