(NEW) Milk Shortage - Recently, you may have heard about the nationwide shortage of half-pint milk cartons hitting several states, including New York, and school districts searching for options to serve milk. This will be impacting U-E schools. However, we WILL continue serving milk to all students during this time where there’s a shortage of cartons. For elementary students, our food service team will be purchasing milk in larger containers, and the staff will be pouring milk in cups. For older students, we will be using self-serve dispensing stations for milk access. Thank you to the U-E Food Service Staff and BOCES for assisting as we work through this temporary process.
Bullying Prevention and Reporting - You can find the Bullying Prevention and Reporting page on our website. It’s located at the center of the main page, and it informs parents of, (1) the trained Dignity Coordinators who will oversee reports of bullying, (2) the investigation flow chart which shows the process for each incident, and (3) the updated UE Code of Conduct: Bullying Prevention and Reporting | Union-Endicott Central School District (uek12.org) We are pleased to work in collaboration with a NYS certified trainer who assists our team in ongoing trainings and updates to the Dignity Act and Code of Conduct. Also, as a reminder, there is a conflict reporting system available to students, staff and families to report conflicts and other issues that can arise between students: Sprigeo - Report School Safety Threats and Bullying
Snow Days – Based on this year’s calendar, we have 6 snow days. When there’s a snow day, a phone call, email, and text message will be sent out as soon as possible, but typically around 5:30 a.m. You can also watch for school information on the local news channels and on our website.
