At Union-Endicott, supporting students means looking beyond the classroom. Community School Coordinators play an important role in helping students, families and schools build strong connections and access the resources they need to be successful.
Working in each of U-E’s seven school buildings, Community School Coordinators serve as a bridge between schools, families and the community. They help identify needs, connect families with community resources and organizations, support school events and activities, and build relationships that strengthen the overall school community.
Their work is especially valuable because they know their school communities. By developing relationships with students, families, staff and local partners, coordinators can help connect the right people and resources at the right time.
The Community School Coordinator program is made possible through a partnership with Broome-Tioga BOCES and is supported by community-school strategies developed in collaboration with the National Center for Community Schools. The program reflects U-E’s commitment to educating the whole child and recognizing that strong schools are built through strong relationships.
Every connection matters. Every family matters. And every student deserves a school community that supports them, encourages them and helps them see what is possible.
