At Opening Day, UEHS Class of 2023 graduate Luke Pylypciw, returned to share his inspiring journey from a U-E graduate to becoming a “Pilot in Command.” Luke’s story is a powerful reminder of what it means to help students discover their interests, follow their passions, and find a path that is uniquely their own. His journey reflects the attributes of the New York State Portrait of a Graduate; being academically prepared, reflective and future-focused, a creative innovator, critical thinker, global citizen, and effective communicator.
Most importantly, Luke reminded U-E staff that there is no single path to success. The role of a school community is to open doors, create opportunities, and help every student discover what is possible for their future.
