Union-Endicott School District is proud to welcome our new teachers and paraprofessionals who joined the district this year. To help them begin their journey as Tigers, they participated in the 2026 Smart Start Induction Program, a two-day orientation designed to provide support, resources, and a strong foundation for success.
Much like new students benefit from orientation, new staff also gain valuable guidance during this program. After introductions and welcome messages, participants engaged in sessions on the Tiger Mission, Vision, Values & Goals, technology, special education, the Family Support & Food Center, U-E’s unique Therapy Dog program, Portrait of a Graduate and classroom strategies and preparation.
Working alongside mentors and colleagues, new staff explored strategies to build meaningful connections, strengthen classroom practice, and foster student success.
Smart Start not only prepares staff for the year ahead but also ensures they feel part of the Tiger community from the very beginning.
Welcome to U-E!
