Community service is a cornerstone of the Union-Endicott High School National Honor Society, with members dedicating countless hours each year to supporting local organizations and giving back to the community.
This spring, NHS members organized a Walkathon to benefit Gigi's Playhouse Southern Tier, raising $1,000 to support the organization's free educational, therapeutic, and social programs for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. On Tuesday, June 23, senior NHS officers proudly presented the donation during a visit to Gigi's Playhouse in Johnson City.
The fundraiser reflected the National Honor Society's commitment to service and its ongoing mission to make a meaningful impact both within the school district and throughout the local community.
