UEHS juniors recently had the opportunity to explore their college options at the State University of New York’s annual College Fair, hosted by SUNY Broome on March 26. The event brought together representatives from SUNY campuses across the state, giving students a unique chance to learn about a wide range of academic programs, campus environments, and extracurricular opportunities all in one place.
Throughout the day, students spoke directly with admissions counselors and campus representatives, asking questions about majors, housing, student life, and the application process. Many students were able to compare schools side by side, helping them better understand what each campus has to offer and begin narrowing down their choices for after graduation.
In addition to meeting with college representatives, students connected with staff from the
Educational Opportunity Program, where they learned about additional academic and financial support available to eligible students. Representatives from the SUNY Financial Aid Department were also on hand to provide guidance on tuition costs, FAFSA, scholarships, and strategies for making college more affordable.
The experience gave UEHS juniors valuable insight and practical information as they begin planning for their futures, helping them take an important step toward their post-secondary goals.
