More than 230 students from CFJ, along with their families, came together for Library Night Out. The theme for the night was “Reading Is Food for Your Brain,” and it was full of fun, stories, and tasty treats.
The evening began with everyone gathering to listen to the book “The Cool Bean,” read aloud by Principal Shea. Students and families enjoyed hearing the story together and getting excited about reading.
After the story, families explored different activity stations set up around the school. There were hands-on crafts and fun games for everyone to try. Guests also enjoyed light snacks inspired by favorite book characters like The Smart Cookie and The Good Egg.
Before heading home, each student picked out an extra library book to enjoy with their family. This made it easy to keep the reading fun going at home.
Library Night Out also marked the start of the CFJ PTA’s PARP program. PARP encourages students to read with someone at home every night.
It was an evening filled with books, creativity, and time spent together. Everyone left with smiles, stories, and a love of reading.
