Students at GFJ were inspired to become authors after learning that their library teacher, Mrs. Jodi Moscato, had her own book published earlier this year. As part of curriculum-based learning, students planned, drafted, and wrote their stories by putting pen to paper, fingertips to keyboard and building essential skills like organization, creativity, and revision. Mrs. Moscato then transferred the students’ original handwritten books into Canva for printing, added a spine, and officially
cataloged them in the library database. Now, all GFJ students can search for and check out their classmates’ books, celebrating both the writing process and the power of student voice.
