Union-Endicott School District held the grand opening of its new pantry space on Thursday, November 20 at 2:30 p.m. The pantry is located at 1201 Union Center Maine Highway in Endicott 
on the Tiger Ventures campus.
After the opening, the pantry will welcome the public on Thursdays (except holidays) from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The new pantry highlights the district’s commitment to supporting students, families, and the broader community. It expands on the first pantry at the district office and was created in response to a rising need in the West Corners area, where many residents face barriers to transportation and 
access to food.
The project was made possible through a community block grant from the Town of Union and support from the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.
U E students can earn credits and volunteer hours by helping at the pantry, but they say the experience means more to them than simply meeting requirements.
This pantry not only strengthens support for the community, it also gives Tiger Ventures students valuable work based learning opportunities and shows how U E students step up to help the people around them.
