This year marks UE’s first participation in the College Teaching Academy. Aspiring educators are enrolled in a full-year course, earning 3 college credits in the fall through SUNY Broome and 
another 3 in the spring through Binghamton University.
During the fall semester, students complete 30 classroom observation hours—both within our district and in neighboring districts. They also take part in joint field trips with other participating schools, including visits to SUNY Broome and SUNY Cortland this October, with a tour of Binghamton University planned for the spring.
So far, students have attended a college lecture, toured campuses, received SUNY Broome student IDs, and experienced dining in the campus cafeterias.
Participating students are Ava Crocker, Colleen McGuinness, Sophia Monforte, Sarah Moore, Natalia Smith, and Shariah Williams.
