BOE Recognition

Before the start of its meeting at AGM, the Board of Education recognized the early success of BOE Recognitionthe RISE (Reading Interventions for Student Equity) Grant, a two-year initiative designed to strengthen literacy achievement among students in grades 3-5. In its first year, approximately 500 4th- and 5th-grade students received targeted, evidence-based reading interventions aimed at improving skills and closing achievement gaps. This school year, the grant will include third graders.

Special recognition was given to AGM’s fourth- and fifth-grade teachers, AIS providers, and all RISE grant contributors whose dedication and BOE Recognitioncollaboration have made this program a success. Their focused work and commitment to student growth have resulted in measurable progress and renewed confidence in reading for many learners.

The Board also celebrated students now in fifth and sixth grades who demonstrated significant growth in reading as a result of their participation in the RISE program. Their hard work and perseverance exemplify the impact of effective, student-centered instruction.

In addition, recognition was extended to the community supporters who continue to enrich the school environment through ongoing generosity, including supply donations, the Teacher Appreciation Breakfast, and the Grandparent Program. Their involvement reflects a strong partnership between the school and community, reinforcing the shared commitment to student success and well-being. Click here to view photo album
