The district welcomed teachers and staff back to a new school year with a presentation that revisited its mission, goals, and priorities while celebrating areas of Tiger Pride. The state-wide Portrait of a Graduate was outlined, including its timeline and academic requirements, along with updates on attendance, new education laws regarding internet-enabled devices, and enhanced safety procedures at building entrances. A warm welcome was extended to new student board member Colleen McGuinness, whose voice will represent the student perspective. The continuing theme, Cultivating a Culture of Collaboration and Community, was also highlighted, emphasizing the district’s commitment to supporting students, families, and one another.
