The district is proud to welcome approximately 30 new teachers and aides who joined our Tiger community this school year. To help them begin their journey as Tigers, they participated in the 2025 Smart Start Induction Program, a three-day orientation designed to provide support, resources, and a strong foundation for success.
Much like new students benefit from orientation, new staff also gain valuable guidance during back-to-school work sessions. After introductions and welcome messages, participants engaged in sessions on the “why” of teaching, technology, special education, culturally responsive teaching, connecting learners to school, and effective instruction.
Working alongside mentors and colleagues, new staff explored strategies to build meaningful connections, strengthen classroom practice, and foster student success.
