U-E has been recognized as a School of Excellence by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA)!
This prestigious honor is awarded to schools where 75% or more of varsity teams earn the Scholar-Athlete Team Award—an accomplishment that reflects outstanding academic achievement by student-athletes across the board.
The School of Excellence Award, first introduced in 2016–17, highlights schools that successfully balance academic rigor with athletic commitment. U-E’s recognition is a testament to the hard work, discipline, and dedication shown by our Tiger student-athletes in both the classroom and on the field.
U-E will receive its commemorative plaque at the upcoming local athletic director workshop this fall. Congratulations to all of our student-athletes, coaches, and staff who helped make this possible—Tiger Pride!
