Mercy House

Senior Marissa Arnold recently brought more than just color to Mercy House—she brought compassion, creativity, and community spirit. As part of her leadership project for Participation in Government, Marissa created and donated a collection of original watercolor paintings to the organization, making a lasting impact with her talent and generosity.

During her visit, Marissa met with Mercy House Director Linda Cerra, who gave her a personal tour of the newly opened wing of the facility. The visit was more than a drop-off—it was a meaningful exchange between artist and institution, united by a shared commitment to service and care.

Ms. Cerra was thrilled by the donation and expressed plans to display the paintings throughout Mercy House, brightening spaces for residents, staff, and visitors alike.

We are incredibly proud of Marissa—not only for her artistic talent but for using her gifts to give back. Her thoughtful contribution is a reminder of the power of creativity when paired with purpose.
