The U-E Athletic Department hosted its final scholar-athlete ceremony of the school year, recognizing spring teams and individual student-athletes who earned this distinction. Teams and/or students must maintain a 90 GPA or higher to receive this award. These students exemplify the importance of academics while balancing their time to commit to a sport.
Boys Tennis-95%; Girls Lacrosse-93%; Baseball-90%; Boys Track-91%; Girls Track-93%, and Softball-92%.
The athletic department also awards $350 scholarships to student-athletes who exemplify sportsmanship and Tiger Pride. The Athletes of the Year are Mario Moretin, Nick Derick, and Jade Taylor.
In addition, Victoria Elliott and Ryan Schappert received the Section IV Character Counts Award.
