Steve Hamlin’s 6th grade science class had a special visitor last week—U-E Board of Education sixth gr sciencePresident Dick Testa. He joined the students as they explored the properties of air during their weather unit. The class investigated Bernoulli’s Principle and discovered that air isn’t nothing—it’s definitely something.

To wrap up the lesson, the students surprised Mr. Testa by “mummifying” him, putting their new knowledge to playful use in a nod to Daniel Bernoulli’s discoveries. It was a high-energy, hands-on day of learning, and Mr. Testa left genuinely impressed by the curiosity and creativity of these young scientists.
