The JFS Annual Author Fair gave students a meaningful opportunity to dive into the lives and works of their favorite authors. Guided by teacher Debbie Blodgett-Lachmanski, students selected an author of interest and explored their background, accomplishments, and contributions to literature.
To bring their research to life, students created informative display boards filled with facts about the authors and highlights from their published works. They also crafted original picture book biographies, showcasing both creativity and a deeper understanding of their chosen author’s impact.
During the event, students shared their knowledge through thoughtful discussions and confidently answered questions from attendees. The Author Fair not only celebrated a love of reading but also helped students strengthen their research, writing, and presentation skills—a true blend of literacy and learning in action!
