AGM students and parents frolicked with the flamingos and went "coconuts" with a luau-themed Library Night Out. Students received an airplane ticket to fly the friendly AGM Airlines for their trip to Hawaii, and at a tiki welcome station, they chose a special luau name and a temporary tattoo. With the help of staff members, librarian Carrie Potter, and senior library clerk Kathy Lavo, the event featured a capture the Stitch obstacle course, surfs up freeze dance, beach volleyball, the floor is lava game, pineapple tic-tac-toe, and a selfie surf station.
Several 5th-grade students, under the direction of music teacher Sara Gill, showcased their ukulele skills, providing fun background music. The event ended with students being able to check out an extra two library books and a raffle to win a Stitch stuffed animal. Life is better with sun, flip flops, and a good library book!
