The UEHS Squad traveled to TJW. The visit gave younger students the chance to meet and build relationships with positive role models from high school. A few of the high schoolers were previous TJ Watson students and were able to connect with a former teacher. They asked to tour the building, and I think it was just as beneficial to our seniors as it was to our fifth graders.
Students shared lunch together, enjoying pizza and salad while talking about school, home life, academics, sports, and future goals. Led by Squad advisor Mr. Mike Hover, six UEHS senior boys spent time in meaningful, one-on-one conversations designed to encourage confidence, leadership, and long-term mentorship. Thank you Jaritt Santos, Je’sire James, Lucas Blades, Darrison Bess, and Andre Williams for spending time with these students.
