Tiger Ventures

Before the spring recess, the Broome-Tioga BOCES Oak Tree K-5 program and Head Start, both district-based partners located at Tiger Ventures/LWW, celebrated the building as a host school by spreading a little joy and appreciation.

From smiles and conversations to small tokens of thanks, it was a wonderful way for Oak Tree staff to recognize the partnerships that make their work possible every day. Students in Oak Tree made many of the table decorations and Tiger Ventures student government, led by advisor Kate Perrino and Community School Coordinator Lynsay Webster, helped organize a fun and engaging Easter egg hunt. TV students, from planning and preparing to helping host the event, showed incredible leadership, kindness, and commitment to giving back. To make the day even more memorable, one of our students even dressed up as the Easter Bunny, adding an extra layer of fun and excitement for our younger learners!

The day even included a special guest appearance by a well-behaved rabbit named Mamas. There were goodies, conversations, and laughs.

Staff in Oak Tree said, “We are truly lucky to be part of such supportive school communities. Thank you for welcoming us, collaborating with us, and helping our students thrive!”
