World mental healht day

Students in Bryan Tran’s JFS French classes combined wellness, kindness, art, croissants, and hot World mental healht daychocolate to mark World Mental Health Day on October 10, a global reminder of the importance of mental well-being. Seventh- and eighth-grade students wrote encouragement cards for their classmates and positive notes for themselves, and eighth graders additionally created and shared their own Recipes for Happiness.

As they enjoyed hot chocolate and croissants, students exchanged handmade cards that fostered care, connection, and a sense of community. They left smiling, uplifted, and encouraged to believe in themselves.

This celebration was made possible through a generous grant from Villa Albertine, the French Institute for Culture and Education, and the Binghamton University Center for Civic Engagement.
