Congratulations to 30 JFS eighth graders in Bryan Tran’s JFS French classes who participated in the National French Contest (Grand Concours) this year, sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French. The contest aligns with the World Readiness French standards and tests students’ listening and reading skills. JFS French students ranked in the Top 30 in the nation and in the Top 20 in the region!

The following students earned a Bronze Medal in the contest: Hawk Chanthongthip and Xoei 
O’Connor both ranked 12th in the nation and 11th in the region. Calen Perkins, Ying Qi Chen, Sydney Philpott, and Grady Anthony all ranked 11th in the nation and 10th in the region. Olivia O’Brien ranked 10th in the nation and 9th in the region.
The following students earned a Silver Medal in the contest: Alyvia Brown ranked 8th in the nation and 7th in the region, and Olivia Peeling ranked 4th in the nation and 3rd in the region.
