Kindergarten is a big milestone. It’s the beginning of a child’s formal school journey and, for many, their first experience in a structured school setting. At U-E, Kindergarten Jump Start helps our youngest Tiger Cubs take those first steps with confidence and excitement!
Over three days, incoming kindergarteners hopped on a school bus and spent part of each day at their new school. They met their teachers and future classmates, explored their classrooms, toured the building, and got a glimpse of what a typical school day will look like.
Along the way, students took part in fun activities including arts and crafts, stories, games, and age-appropriate learning activities. These experiences give children an opportunity to make new friends, become familiar with their surroundings, and begin building the confidence they need to feel comfortable at school.
By getting to know their teachers, classmates, classrooms, and school routines before the first official day, our newest Tigers are ready to walk through the doors on September 10 with big smiles and plenty of excitement for the year ahead!
