Ashley Mills’ third-grade classroom was transformed into a detective headquarters as they set out to solve the mystery of their missing class tiger, Gerald. Armed with flashlights, the young investigators searched every corner of the classroom for hidden clues, working together to uncover pieces of the puzzle. As each clue was discovered, students collaborated to piece together a secret sentence that led them to the next step in the investigation.
Once all three groups found their final clues, the entire class joined forces to determine Gerald’s whereabouts. Their teamwork and problem-solving skills ultimately revealed that the beloved tiger had been taken to the office. The students then embarked on a stealthy mission to retrieve him without drawing attention to their plan.
Along the way, students also learned about fingerprints and how detectives use them to help solve real-life cases. The exciting hands-on experience combined critical thinking, collaboration, and a little mystery, making it a memorable day of learning in Room 10.
