Librarians and educational leaders from across the region gathered at Broome-Tioga BOCES to spread "library love," celebrating strong library programs that foster students' reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
During the event, CFJ principal JonMichael Shea was honored as the 2025 School Library System Administrator of the Year.
The work session featured Jennifer LaGarde, library expert, educator, and advocate, who provided the morning keynote, highlighting how school librarians and strong library programs are essential for students' academic and social-emotional success. Jennifer also led educators in an afternoon of shared learning around effective school library practices.
Congratulations, and thank you for your outstanding service and for promoting the importance of libraries and their librarians in our schools!
