Welcoming Our Newest Tigers: Kindergarten Registration a Success!
The district recently hosted its annual Kindergarten Registration Kickoff Event, where we welcomed over forty of our newest Tigers as they took their first steps in their educational
journey. It was a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with our schools, learn about available resources, and prepare for this exciting new chapter. Families were also able to meet their principals as well as some of the Community School Coordinators.
Families were also provided information on our Family Support Center and met with representatives from transportation and health services. The Southern Tier
Community Center, St. Anthony’s Learning Center, and The Learning Ladder provided program information on before and after school care and other valuable programs they each offer. The George F. Johnson Memorial Library offered fliers on programs and events to encourage our youngest tigers to continue building their reading skills and there was also information available on UPK programs at Endicott Preschool and Headstart for those with younger siblings.
Each student was given a welcome book as well as other goodies to take home. Their evening was topped off with a photo booth.
Our dedicated registration staff assisted families in completing necessary forms and answering questions about elementary schools, meeting teachers, and the various programs available to students. We are excited to welcome these young learners and look forward to an amazing year ahead!
