TJW celebrates Earth Day
Students at TJW took time out of their busy day to help the Earth and celebrate Earth Day.  
Senior opens Tiger Boutique
Prom season is here and that means gowns, jewelry and shoes. That can also mean an extra expense that adds up quickly. To help offset costs of prom, Senior Alexis Austin created “Tiger Boutique” for her Participation in Government Leadership Project. 
Senior creates swimming tiger
Not only is he a competitor in the pool, he has some incredible artistic talent outside the pool. Four-year varsity swimmer and graduating senior Matthew Burnett used those artistic talents to create an amazing mural on the wall in the swimming pool area at UEHS. 
Jim Johnson donates baseball uniforms
U-E graduate Jim Johnson, Class of 2001, donated throw-back baseball uniforms to the varsity baseball team during a recognition ceremony on Friday, April 29 at UE High School, before the Tigers took on the Spartans. 
Vitamin L inspires students at TJW
Vitamin L performed an energizing concert for enthusiastic TJW students during a school assembly. Students learned and practiced Vitamin L songs prior to the concert.

TJW water fundraiser a success
Students in Eric Schrader’s fourth grade class at TJW completed their  H2O challenge in their Change for Change fundraising effort for the organization Water for South Sudan. The students collected over $2,000 in two short months!   
Who's Your Champion
WSKG asks, "Who's your champion?" as part of its program on graduation. They asked students about the person, place, program, or support that helped them be successful in school. 
UEHS National Honor Society Induction
During a ceremony at UEHS, 50 students were inducted into the National Honor Society. 
BOE recognizes JFS students
At its regular meeting, the UE Board of Education recognized dozens of eighth-grade JFS students for a range of achievements.  
JFS student "Asks the Scientist"
"Why do redheads sunburn so easily?" That's the question JFS student Marena Marcum asked for the "Ask the Scientist" feature article in the Press and Sun. 
Regular school attendance leads to success
With just a couple months left of school, it's even more important that students come to school every day.
