UEHS student musicians perform at state conference
Three UEHS students performed in the New York State School Music Association’s All-State Conference held at Eastman’s Kodak Theater in Rochester. 
UEHS teacher published
UEHS teacher Dante Di Stefano recently had his book of poetry published. 
Students learn about the business world
Over the last few weeks, students in Tiger Ventures heard from about a dozen area professionals and businesses on careers and skills needed to be successful.  
UEHS hosts Hour of Code
This week is Computer Science Education Week and UEHS is celebrating with an Hour of Code, 3:30 p.m., December 8 
Talents go beyond music
Junior Matt Sze-tu is not only a talented musican, but he also has some skill in carpentry. Recently, he used his carpentry skills to help out the JFS musical program.  
CFJ Listening Library grows
From donated books and tapes to listening kits that include CD's, the CFJ Listening Library has evolved over the last two years, thanks to a grant from the UEEF and teacher aide, Jean Simenkiewicz, who submitted the grant and coordinates the library. 
AGM students spent time with high school students as part of STEM Day, a day set aside for elementary students to learn from high school students about all the fun activities, clubs and careers there are in science, technology, engineering and math. 
UEHS BOE recognition
At its regular meeting, the Board of Education recognized dozens of UEHS students for various accomplishments achieved during the last school year.  
LLWS team visits elementary schools
Players on the Mid-Atlantic Little League World Series Championship team spent the morning in the district at all four elementary schools. 
Students test for invasive species
Biology Club students at UEHS recently spent some time on the banks of the Susquehanna River participating in the Cornell University Invasive Fish Species Monitoring Program as Citizen Scientists. 
Students are Thankful
JFS students wrote short essays on what they are thankful for as part of The Press and Sun's annual "Giving Thanks" feature. 
Senior named student of the month
Senior Amanda Strauss was honored as YES LEADS November Student of the Month.
