UE volleyball player competing internationally
UE volleyball player Kate Brennan is spending part of her summer playing for a Team USA Junior Team. 
UEHS student takes part in academy
For many students the summer months offer plenty of opportunities to learn new things, whether it be through a  job or classes. UEHS sophomore Brett Waibel is spending part of his summer learning about law enforcement at the fifth annual Youth Police Academy at Vestal High School. 
Tiger Ventures in the news
Tiger Ventures reached another milestone when it received notice it was a top 50 finalist for $10 million in grant money through the XQ Super School Project, Rethinking High Schools.

5k race honors former UE teacher, coach
The Boys and Girls Club of Western Broome is holding a 5k race in memory of former UE coach and teacher Larry Hynes, 9 a.m., August 13.  
Tiger Ventures finalist for $10 million grant
UE Tiger Ventures has made the final cut to becoming a super school after receiving notification that its proposal moved past the final development round and is a finalist in the XQ: The Super School Project. 
20% of their summer is the 20% Project
These three UEHS students are still putting 20% of their time into their 20% Project as they tied up more blankets to give to sick children. 
2016 Summer Food Service Program
Approximately 400,000 free meals will be served daily to children at 2,900 sites across New York State through the Summer Food Service Program, the State Education Department announced today. Click here for more information 
UE teacher inducted into softball hall of fame
TJW first-grade teacher Jessica Phillips was recently inducted into the New York State Softball Hall of Fame.

Students place in art contest
UE student artists participated in the PTA Reflections program, a nationally acclaimed student recognition program to encourage artistic creativity in the classroom and at home. Students in all grades may participate.
