UEHS Class of 2023 graduate Luke Pylypciw charted his future in aviation before he even walked across the stage at graduation, and he’s wasted no time making it a reality. Luke

Now a senior at Florida Institute of Technology, Pylypciw will graduate in May with dual degrees in Aviation Management and Air Traffic Control. Alongside his coursework, he works as a certified flight instructor at the university’s flight school.

This past summer, he also launched his own company, SKYSCHOLAR, aimed at bringing aviation education into schools nationwide. The company partners with both public and private institutions to guide aspiring pilots and their families through every step of the collegiate flight training process—from finding and applying to schools, to selecting programs and securing funding.

“Our mission is to empower aspiring aviators with tailored, expert-driven guidance and comprehensive resources that simplify the path to becoming a professional pilot,” Pylypciw said.

As founder and president, Pylypciw draws on his experience as an FAA-licensed commercial pilot, certified flight instructor, and university-trained aviator. “I’ve experienced firsthand the transformative power of world-class aviation education,” he said. “For me, aviation is more than an industry—it’s a pathway to purpose, leadership, and lifelong learning.”

Pylypciw credits his foundation at Union-Endicott with fueling his drive. “The U-E Tech Department was a fundamental part of my time at U-E,” he said. “They always encouraged my ambitious goals and gave me freedom to explore new projects, ideas, and events. I’m always overjoyed to see the success and awards they continue to achieve. It is very well deserved.”

UEHS Class of 2023 graduate Luke Pylypciw knew before he graduated that he wanted to pursue an aviation career, and that is exactly what he has done.
