Senior to study music at Fredonia
Johnny
U-E is proud to recognize our seniors who will continue their education in music. We will highlight each of them through the end of the school year. Our seventh student musician spotlight is Jonathan Zareski.

Johnny has been a member of the marching band since seventh grade, concert band, jazz band, chorale, jazz choir, acapella choir and participated on stage for the high school musicals and backstage for the middle school musicals. He also was elected to and participated in BCMEA All-County band, jazz band and chorus; and Area All-State for chorus and band. He has participated in NYSSMA since sixth grade and this year received perfect scores in the three ensembles he organized, horn, tuba and vocal.

He is currently Vice President of the Tri-M Music Honor Society and a member of the National Honor Society. He is a member of the Teen Jazz Project. This summer you can see Johnny perform as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh in “Anything Goes” for SPARE Productions and as Dewey Finn in “School of Rock” with BC YETI (Broome Community Youth Theater Intensive.)

Johnny will continue his education at SUNY Fredonia, majoring in sound recording technology and major or minor in physics.
