Author enlists students to help edit book
A select group of JFS sixth-grade students began a three-part process on editing a book. Working with local author Daniel J. Miller on his soon to be released young adult book, students will get a firsthand look at what is involved in writing, editing and publishing a book.
Miller talked with students about editing and what it involves. During this first visit, after talking with the author, students learned what they will do throughout the project and received the first part of the book to read.
During part two, in mid-December, students will discuss the first half of the book and provide their feedback.
