Students see "Just Mercy"

students at movies

Despite a power outage, the show must go on and that is exactly what English teacher Kelli Krieger and other UEHS teachers, and building and district team leaders did when nearly 100 UEHS students traveled to AMC theater to see, “Just Mercy.”

Many students read the book of the same title and to help bring it to life, Krieger and other staff coordinated the trip. Once at the theater students enjoyed popcorn, drinks and candy. Students and staff had two theaters to themselves to see the film, based on a true story about a man falsely accused and sent to death row.  After, students were treated to lunch. The entire event was completely paid for through DonorsChoose and an anonymous donation.

Thank you to all who made this possible.
