Students hear the joy of reading

As part of World Read Aloud Day, elementary students had the joy of reading or being read to in class.
AGM student council members traveled to the younger grades to read to students. They prepared questions that they asked the class after they read the book. Questions included what they thought of the main character, how did characters overcome obstacles and what was the theme of the book.

At TJW, WBNG news reporter Scott Sasina visited his former elementary school and the exact third-grade classroom he was in. He read three different books and talked to students about his career. Superintendent Nicole Wolfe also read to students as well as instilling in them how important it is to read. Other guest readers were board member Dick Testa and TJW principal Emily Regan.

Thank you to all who helped make this a fun day of reading.
