Board of Education Recognition at GFJ
GFJ hosted the Board of Education meeting, which started off with updates and an overview of the building followed by recognitions.
First, the two new building leaders introduced themselves. Principal Mary Kay Ryan and assistant principal, Katie Smith talked about the first half of the year and what the next half will bring, including a focus on community and collaboration.
With those two initiatives in mind, students and staff were recognized for implementing and coordinating various projects, activities and events that enhance building teamwork, community and collaboration.
Student government, staff who coordinate building-wide recognitions, and staff and parents who help to provide numerous events and activities through PTA and the Booster Club were all recognized.
Thank you to all who contribute to making GFJ a school community of learning, enrichment and success. Following the presentation and recognitions, the BOE held its regular meeting.
