At eight weeks into schools being closed, the food services staff never missed a beat in providing meals to our U-E families. No matter the weather, staff were at the sites, distributing food.
To help show how grateful she is and how appreciated the food service staff and volunteers are at the grab and go sites, parent Jessica Bronson and her son, UEHS freshman, Tyler Bronson, recently spent the morning decorating sites with thank you posters and signs, and donated gifts.
With the help of district and building leaders, Bronson sought donations from area businesses and staff as well as getting help in making posters.
Donations included cookies from Baked Euphoria, gift certificates from Best Bagels and Frosty Joes, flowers from Nanticoke Gardens donated flowers and hand sanitizer from Waterman’s Distillery. The UEHS cheer squad, staff and community members ranging in ages from five to 95 helped make signs!
Jessica said, “I am so happy with the way everything turned out today, my son and I woke up early so we could decorate before these folks got there. These people are truly heroes.”
