Flipping for science

Sixth-grade students in Steve Hamlin’s science classes tested a variety of water bottles and water levels to see which ones would have the highest success rates for the “Bottle Flipping Challenge.”  After testing, students tallied results on a frequency chart then calculated the success percentages for each bottle type and the average number of successful tosses.

Finally, bar graphs were created to display results. So, what water levels and bottle types produced the most successful results? To find out, try this fun experiment on your own and see what works best!
