Student planning to further education in music

Cam Cam has been a musician since they were in fourth grade. They started off with playing the string bass, and trying to learn piano on the keyboard they got when they were nine years old.  In sixth grade, they switched from bass to viola, and started to truly have a passion for making music. Through this entire time, Cam loved to sing, but did not pursue voice until they were in 10th grade, when they joined the UE Chorale. They grew so much as a musician in that one year, and realized that their favorite instrument is their voice. They want to teach kids to appreciate and have a passion for music like their music teachers have done for them, especially Mrs. Klein, Mr. Brainard, and Mrs. Rivenburg.

Today, Cam is a member of the UE Mixed Choir, UE Treble Choir, Entigerly Vocal, and the orchestra. In the fall, they plan on attending SUNY Broome for a degree in music education, and SUNY Potsdam directly afterward. After college, Cam wants to be an elementary school music teacher, so that they can inspire and enrich the minds of the next generation of musicians.
