Students visit JFS
Going from fifth grade to sixth grade can be a big adjustment and one way to help ease into that transition was for fifth graders to visit JFS.
Fifth-graders from all four elementary schools traveled to JFS to meet with current sixth-grade students, meet Principal Lowie, tour the school, have lunch in the cafeteria and meet with staff. They asked questions, talked with the principal and then had lunch. The sixth-grade mentors took the students on a tour of the building, visiting the library, health, guidance and main offices, the gym, technology rooms and the student store.
It was a nice, comfortable way for fifth graders to get a glimpse of what next year will be like.
