Snow removal is a team effort at bus garage

Cleaning up after a snowstorm is quite the process, especially at a school district bus garage.  When snow arrives, the U-E transportation department is responsible for removing all of the snow off the buses in addition to clearing the driveways and sidewalks at the facility in preparation for the school day.

When snowstorm Harper hit over the holiday weekend, transportation director Lisa Bennett and staff went to work. A big thank you to Ray Marsh, Jeff Mitchell, Ray Ellis, Doug Schmidt, Jack Singer, Dave Smith, Wayne Kunsman, Terry Stockdale, and even Bennett’s husband who drove her in and helped clear snow.

Bennett said, “I am so grateful to have such a great crew, willing to take time out of their weekend, come in when the roads are not the best, and get the job done.”
