Recently, NY State Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the winners of this year’s Farm-to-School Grant. The Food and Health Network of South Central NY will receive almost $100,000 over two years. As a partner in this grant, Union-Endicott School district will use this grant money to assist in implementing NY Thursday’s Farm-to-School program in the district.
One Thursday a month students will be served a lunch that is comprised of foods grown, raised or processed in NY state. U-E will receive $5,000 that can be used to buy equipment and/or supplies that will assist in prepping, serving or storing those food items.
