Two Endicott barbershops have some new reading material for their younger patrons to enjoy thanks to a donation by CFJ library TA Wendy Gounalis.
Joe Becker, Faces Barbershop on Washington Ave. and Lyman Bothwell, Uppercuts on Main St. are very excited to offer their younger clients some books that are not only interesting and fun but will encourage reading.
Of special interest is "Crown: An Ode to the Fresh Cut", by Derrick D. Barnes. The book is about a young boy’s visit to the barber to not only get a chance to look sharp but share in the rich community of stories, experience, and advice that is established with the other patrons at the shop.
Thank you to all involved in helping make this happen!
