Teaching our young Tigers about self-value, self-worth and their role in our community is an important part of learning. And who better to learn these skills from than our UEHS Key Club members.
Students traveled to CFJ to talk with fourth- and fifth-graders about taking care of their minds and bodies, learning to help others, and taking care of the community in which we live. UEHS students prepared presentations and activities to engage and teach the younger students.
Rotating through seven different presentations, CFJ students met Key Club students who focused on a topic such as healthy mind, healthy body, different doesn’t mean inferior, music, the environment, helping the elderly, and learning about Brazil. Students made crafts, played different musical instruments, created cards for the elderly, tried Brazilian food, and participated in different exercises and stretches to help keep their bodies strong.
Thank you Key Club for setting a wonderful example for our Tiger Cubs!
