They will still be wearing orange but the black will be replaced with blue as senior cheerleaders Arianna Boyce and Mikayla Oldenburg signed their National Letters of Intent to cheer for the SU Orange.
The Syracuse University Orange, an NCAA Division I program, competes under the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA.)
As stand out student-athletes, Arianna (co-captain) has been a member of U-E Varsity Cheer team for four years (8 seasons, fall and winter) and Mikayla for 2 ½ years (5 seasons, fall and winter).
Arianna has five STAC Championship titles, three Section IV titles (Sectional Championship established in 2016), one UCA Regional Championship title and has competed in four NYSPHSAA Cheerleading Championship tournaments (the first NYSPHSAA Cheer Championship qualifying tournament was in 2015). Arianna was also named a UCA High School All-American.
Mikayla has four STAC Championship titles, three Sectional IV titles, one UCA Regional Championship and competed in three NYSPHSAA Cheerleading Championships.
Also, both athletes have competed at the UCA National High School Cheer Championship in Orlando, Florida and were members of the 1st high school team from the Southern Tier to qualify for the National High School Cheerleading Championship.
Arianna and Mikayla have received scholar-athlete awards throughout their high school careers and are recipients of the NYSPHSAA team scholar-athlete award in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Arianna plans to dual major in entrepreneurship/emerging enterprises and computer science. She is the daughter of Alex and Alicia Boyce.
Mikayla plans to major in biology. She is the daughter of Michael and Lisa Oldenburg.
