Contributions highlight community collaboration

As the school year begins, our community continues with its generous support. During the waning days of summer, many organizations and individuals were busy collecting school supplies for our Tigers.
There are so many generous groups and individuals who contributed, too many to list here.
Two supply drives that are near and dear include the American Legion Post 1700. Each year, before school begins, this group collects school supplies and delivers the dozens of boxes filled with everything from crayons and pencils to notebooks and folders.
For the last three years, Hair Studio Six honors GFJ teacher Cassie Cline with a school supply drive. And each year, hundreds and hundreds of supplies are donated from the community in honor of Cassie, who loved her students and did anything she could to help each child she had in class.
The district and the community continue a culture of collaboration, helping our Tigers be successful. Thank you to all who donated supplies!
