Combining community, collaboration, and learning is a win for everyone involved, and seven Tiger Ventures

students, staff, and a very helpful dad experienced just that in the Kids CAN Build Feeding Communities and Imaginations event. (Formerly Canstruction of the Southern Tier.)
Hosted by the Binghamton Leadership Institute (BLI) Alumni Association, this community event helps to raise awareness about hunger as teams of students from area schools compete to design and build giant structures made from full cans of food.
It is a unique learning opportunity for students that combines engineering, math, teamwork, and imagination all while helping those in need in our community.
The team received a generous donation from a local business to purchase materials and cans of food. They designed their structure, bought the cans based on the labels, built the structure, took photos and video, completed the paperwork for the event, then took the structure apart, and donated all the cans to CHOW.
This truly is community and collaboration! Thank you, Tiger Ventures! #TigerPride
