Students dress for success

There are many aspects to learning about careers and how to prepare for that career, which often goes beyond the classroom. To that end, students in business classes at UEHS participated in Dress for Success Day.

November is National Career Development Month and business teachers Michelle Gee, Michael Nagorny and Martin Fisher have been working with students on career preparation with one of the more important aspects being the importance of professional attire in the workplace.

They discussed why it is important to dress professionally; for formal interviews, first impressions do count, employers will judge you, and dressing for the job you want. Then Gee went over what professional attire looks like for both a male and female with various examples. The students who dressed up were entered into a raffle to win a gift card and earned bonus points.
