Senior Philip Koral was recently awarded the highest honor as a Boy Scout, receiving his Eagle Scout award after completing his community-based project.
Philip designed, planned and built a footbridge on a nature trail at the Waterman Conservation Education Center in Apalachin. The bridge is located about a mile away from the main building and spans a muddy drainage area. While the bridge does support hiking traffic, its primary purpose is to support the weight of the local fire department's emergency rescue ATV so that it can easily and quickly reach anyone needing emergency medical assistance in the southern portion of the nature trails.
After high school, Philip plans to attend SUNY Broome, followed by two years at a private college pursuing video game design.
Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!
