Chem students flex their brains

Chemistry team

U-E chemistry students put their brain muscles to work during the Chemistry Olympiad. Jennifer Lee, Cara Dufresne, Jake Isaac, Jeffrey Yu, Sawyer Daniels, and Jonathan Dallard all finished in the top 15 out of 40 students, with two finishing in the top four.

Jeffrey finished second and Jake finished fourth, qualifying them both for a chance to compete for a spot on the national team.

This is an individual-based event where students take a two-hour chemistry exam followed by a one-hour lab practical. All six U-E students competed against some of the best chemistry students from the Binghamton area.
This was a strong showing for our Tigers!
