Two very talented UEHS student artists were recognized for their talents at the Broome High School Emerging Artist Competition Award Recognition and Ceremony hosted by the Broome County Arts Council.
Emmerlene Richardson won Best in Show for her mixed media “Self Portrait.”
Emily Sierzant won first place in the line and color category for her piece, “My Room, My Space.”
Art teacher Diane Golden teaches both students.
The competition and exhibit celebrate the artistic talents of 53 students from six Broome County High Schools with 65 works of art on display.
The exhibit will remain open to the public April 25 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday at the BCAC Gallery, located at 81 State St in Binghamton (5th floor above Terra Cotta).
